Deborah Kish Johansen, J.D., M.B.A.
Deborah received her Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Social Science Education from Florida State University in 1994. She went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida in 1998. Deborah was first admitted to practice law in Florida in 1998. In 2007 she obtained her license to practice law in Colorado.
Deborah has worked for both large and small law firms. She began her legal career in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the Corporate and Securities Department of a large regional law firm and continued her career with a boutique law firm in Orlando, Florida representing a local school board and corporate clients. Thereafter, Deborah went into private practice in Florida representing businesses and individuals. Deborah also was an Associate Professor at Valencia Community College in Kissimmee, Florida from 2002 until 2007. She taught Business Law I, Business Law II, Introduction to Business, and American Government. In 2007 she relocated to Colorado and opened her private practice. Deborah continues in private practice with Johansen Law Office, P.C. representing business clients and teaches in the business department at the University of Phoenix.
Deborah is a current member of the Board of Directors of the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Douglas-Elbert County Bar Association, and the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce. Deborah is a past member of the Board of Directors of Castle Country Assisted Living, a non-profit organization. Deborah is also a Brownie Girl Scout Co-Leader and volunteers for Junior Achievement.
